It was too cute. This cookie jar was a christmas present for my grandmother. She loved it, and uses it all the time. Its made out of ceramic and hand painted. The cookie jar is actually rather deep and can you can put a whole pakage of oreo cookies in it. I myself really loved her gift and am thinking of getting one for myself. I mean its a 'cookie' cookie jar!

I was a little disappointed in the colors on this jar when I opened the box. In the photos it appears much brighter,with lots of red, pink, green, etc. But in reality the predominate color is a pale yellow/beige, with some brown for the Oreos. If you are looking for "bright" colors for your kitchen, this is not the right cookie jar for you. It is a cute idea though, a nice high pile of cookies to store the real ones in.
