Works Ok For MeJul 08, 2010 I would have rated 3 and a half stars if I could. I have not had an issue with any denting or anything falling off. I have used this for over a year now. The only criticism I agree with is that there are some bigger chunks of cheese at the end of grating that fall through. Really that is not a huge deal. I have picked one or two chunks off my pasta and the world did not come to an end. It works fine for me. I am sure there are better made out there and I bought mine at TJMAXX so I think I only spent 7 or 8 bucks. I wouldn't spend 23 but I am like that about everything. If I don't find it for a good bargain price I'll forgo it. If you are a perfectionist look elsewhere for one, if you just want some cheese on your pasta this does the trick.
Very SatisfiedApr 03, 2010 After searching for more than a year, have finally found a worthy cheese grater. I haven't experienced the problems with this grater that others have had in the past. Please remember this is a small grater. It is not for shredding large quantities or soft cheeses. I have had many graters in the past and this is by far the best.
Cheese Grater HeavenJan 17, 2010 My husband is the cook and is also very hard on kitchen products. He fell in love with the cheese graters they use at Olive Garden, so when we were in Walmart one day he saw one and we bought it. He was thrilled because he could buy Parmesan cheese in a lump and grind it fresh at table. The only problem was that it was plastic and when he reached the rind one day, the plastic was not strong enough and it broke. This one is steel (and he knows not to try to grind the rind) so I have high hopes that it will last.
Good fo about six monthsJul 31, 2009 and then the handle broke off. it's a challenge to find a sturdy grater since Parmesan cheese is hard. The oxo model I had before suffered the same fate after a while. I don't think good graters like the ones I have seen in restaurants come cheap.

Bad ChoiceJul 18, 2009 My previous grater was a plastic Zyliss. It lasted for many years and worked well, but I bought the Cuisipro grater thinking that an all metal unit would outlast and outperform the plastic Zyliss. Wrong! The Cuisipro leaves chunks of ungrated cheese, the handles are loose and flop about, and the drum bent quickly under normal use. The Cuispro grater is poor quality and poor design. I went back and replaced it with the vastly cheaper but better Zyliss. Lesson learned.
