i ordered this steamer in the 4 for 3 promotion, and am very pleased, well made, if you use the liners, and clean after each use, it will last.

I had purchased another brand of bamboo steamer from Amazon a few years ago, and it fell apart after 2 years of regular use. I decided to go with the Helen Chen brand since the prices appear to have skyrocketed.
The bamboo steamer relies on boiling water in a pot to provide the steam. Most electronic steamers use plastic trays and housings which can cause health issues and contaminate the taste of food. The bamboo steamers also inject a unique flavor from the bamboo.
Make sure to hand wash the steamer trays and take it easy while using them.

Love the stacking steamer. This thing handles vegetables and dumplings great, I recommend using cheese cloth when doing rice with it. Great value and nice size for 4 to 8 people.

It's great for steaming, but hard to clean. Bits of food get stuck along the bottom under the sides. This size is very large and requires a huge pan for steaming.
