Make a fruit tart your new dessert specialtyApr 23, 2001
After recieving this book as a gift, the Summer Berry Tart recipie has become one of my specialties. Give it as a gift with a tart pan, and any cook is sure to appreciate it. I have given it as gifts, and have loved every recipie I've tried. It is a great addition to the Williams-Sonoma cookbook library, which is a must for cooks!
More Pie!Oct 25, 2011
By Ohioan This is a fantastic pie and tart cookbook -- beware that if you buy it and bake from it, you may experience weight gain! The introductory information on baking tins and how to make crust are short and precise. Then come the pies, divided into Basic Recipes, Summer Pies & Tarts, Winter Pies & Tarts, and Pies & Tarts for All Seasons. A rather artificial division, because "basic recipes" might belong in any of the other three categories. The fruit pie recipes are among the best I've ever had, as are the chocolate pie ones. If you're tempted to buy this book, do give in to the temptation.
Best book for making wonderful piesMay 14, 2011
By IS66 I have had this book for many years and still love it! I am not much of a baker, but if I follow the instructions, every pie comes out exactly like the picture and is delicious.
